September 9th, 2020
The sun set on the September 8th was ominous. On the 9th we woke up to a day when we didn’t see the sun in San Francisco because there were so many fires burning in the state that the smoke particles absorbed the normal light spectrum in the sky. The following photographs were taken at high noon. In the middle of the pandemic, amidst social unrest and political turmoil, I woke up and wondered if this was the apocalypse.
